School & Work

Theory

A master’s student at the University of Copenhagen, I am studying international development, politics and business. Prior, I also received a B.A. with Distinction in Political Science from Duke University, with minors in History and Visual and Media Studies. As a part of my studies, I completed an exchange semester at University College London, as well as two semesters at New York University, where I studied the business of art and media.

Practice

In the last 5 years, I got a chance to work for startups and large companies, in product management, marketing, communications, media and development. Now I would like to continue working at the intersection of global development and digital technology and use my skills in communications and product management for the advancement of the world.

My Story

In 2017, I travelled abroad for the first time to begin my life-changing academic journey at Duke University. So many great things to come!

In the summer of 2018, I lived in Sydney, where I completed an internship for a consulting agency that supported a national campaign against domestic violence.

In 2020, I was living the dream: travelling around Europe and studying at University College London (but the pandemic had other plans).

In the summer of 2020, I made a rather insane decision: I took a gap year from school and found jobs at the tech startups based in Silicon Valley and Vancouver. All while living in the most beautiful city in the world and admiring the cats!

During my gap year, I found a job as a Marketing & Product Manager at a Vancouver-based startup Checker Software.

In the fall of 2022, I was studying at New York University and preparing to move to Europe upon graduation.

In September 2023, I will be starting a master’s program in Global Development at the University of Copenhagen, where I received a full merit-based scholarship!
